Our story
Litdrive, a registered charity since 2020 and officially recognised as an English subject association in 2023, is a platform created and maintained by English teachers for English teachers. Our mission is to provide access to high-quality, subject-specific professional development, classroom materials, and mentoring support. Our primary goal is to help English teachers achieve better work-life balance and retain excellent educators in the profession.
We operate as a result of the time and contributions made by the teaching community with all funds from the service charge and donations being used to maintain and develop the platform. In addition, Litdrive collaborates with partners to help us to broaden our impact.
Litdrive offers discounted departmental memberships to enable schools to cover the cost of Litdrive membership from their budgets instead of relying on individual teachers’ funds. If you are able to make a donation, give up your time to write a blog or deliver a subject knowledge session, or if you would like to advocate for Litdrive in your local area, please do get in touch.
We engage with our members with an annual member survey, and we use member voice to provide us with valuable feedback that will help us to continue to ensure that our work is helpful and relevant to teachers. Please get in touch if you would like to be involved.
